The Legend of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Sequel Is Coming

When the Nintendo Switch originally launched Nintendo knew that it would require a massive killer launch title to help it overcome the stigma from the Wii U’s failure. While the game was a co-launch between the Wii U and the Switch, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was exactly the game to be that app. Breath of the Wild at one time was attached to 7 out of 10 Switch consoles.

At the end of this years E3 2019 Nintendo Direct, Nintendo has announced a sequel to the game is currently in development for the Switch. The game announcement was revealed as the final icing on top of a lovely presentation.

The announcement came via a short teaser trailer that read, “The sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is now in development.” No further information like release date, title or story details were released.

The trailer included Link traveling with a short haired Zelda on horseback, with something happening to Hyrule Castle in the background. The trailer showed stunning landscapes from the original game with the same engaging and epic music. Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think.

I grew up on the Atari, Nintendo Entertainment System and the Sega Genesis. I started my love affair with gaming with Mario, as most kids do, and continued it with Dragon Warrior(Dragon Quest for those who don't know history). Some of my favorite games growing up were the simplest, with Adventure for the Atari 2600 being one of the games I had the most fun with. Still to this day I enjoy that game, and those duck looking dragons. Today I play a variety of games when my mind will let me, which comes in spurts. Right now I am playing a bit of Minecraft.
