OVERWHELM Debuts On The Switch April 4th.

Take on the overwhelming, stylistic action platformer where the bad guys, instead of you, get the power-ups in Ruari O’Sullivan’s OVERWHELM on the Switch on April 4th. The game is debuting on the Switch with an exclusive Co-Op mode. You can play through the whole game locally in Co-Op mode with a friend. Reviving each other when you are downed. Working together to defeat bosses together. Defeating each of the five hive bosses will give other hive bosses that hive creatures abilities, ala Mega Man but for the bad guys, so choosing who to attack first is key.

  • Bosses Give Enemies Power-Ups: As you defeat each of the five unique bosses, their abilities get distributed to the enemies of the world with escalating difficulty.
  • Tactile, Tense Combat: Combat is crunchy and fast. One hit and you die. Three deaths and the run is over. Defeat bosses in different orders to optimize your play through.

Intense Soundtrack & Soundscapes: The sparse but powerful soundscapes keeps you focused and scared. The soundtrack provides occasional ominous synths to compliment intense boss fights and big moments.

You can check out more information about this game on its official website.

I grew up on the Atari, Nintendo Entertainment System and the Sega Genesis. I started my love affair with gaming with Mario, as most kids do, and continued it with Dragon Warrior(Dragon Quest for those who don't know history). Some of my favorite games growing up were the simplest, with Adventure for the Atari 2600 being one of the games I had the most fun with. Still to this day I enjoy that game, and those duck looking dragons. Today I play a variety of games when my mind will let me, which comes in spurts. Right now I am playing a bit of Minecraft.
