Nintendo has released a new update for the Nintendo Switch‘s firmware. This firmware will bring us up to System Version 9.0.1. This release does not add anything of significance beyond “general system stability.”
Ver. 9.0.1 (Released September 30, 2019)
General system stability improvements to enhance the user’s experience, including a solution for the following:
- Resolved an issue that may have triggered errors during gameplay.
- Resolved an issue that may display an instruction to remove the Joy-Con during the initial setup of Nintendo Switch Lite.
How to update your Switch:
If you Nintendo Switch does not automatically download the 9.0.1 update, you can manually start the update from the System Settings menu. If your console is unable to perform the system update, Nintendo suggests restarting your console and trying again.
