Minecraft Dungeons Announced For The Switch

Minecraft creator Mojang has announced a new Minecraft title called Minecraft: Dungeons. The game is being developed by a small and dedicated team of coders in Stockholm, Sweden.

But what is Minecraft: Dungeons you ask? It is an action-adventure game inspired by classic dungeon crawlers but set in the Minecraft universe. You’ll be able to discover new weapons and items to help you defeat your enemies as you fight ruthless swarms of new-and-nasty mods. You’ll travel and fight through canyons, swamps and much more; of course including mines.

The game will be able to be played solo or with up to three of your friends in four-player Co-Op mode. Check out the trailer below to see more of this action-packed, treasure-stuffed, epic game where you get to save villagers and take down the evil Arch–Illager.

You can check out more information about this game over at the Minecraft website to see what the game’s director Måns Olson has to say about the game and let us know in the comments below what you think of the trailer and the game.

I grew up on the Atari, Nintendo Entertainment System and the Sega Genesis. I started my love affair with gaming with Mario, as most kids do, and continued it with Dragon Warrior(Dragon Quest for those who don't know history). Some of my favorite games growing up were the simplest, with Adventure for the Atari 2600 being one of the games I had the most fun with. Still to this day I enjoy that game, and those duck looking dragons. Today I play a variety of games when my mind will let me, which comes in spurts. Right now I am playing a bit of Minecraft.
