Media Create Sales: 12/17/18 – 12/23/18 Another week of dominating sales for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Dragon Quest Builders 2 was unleashed this week in Japan. Launching on both the PlayStation 4 and Switch, the game saw really nice sales numbers with the PlayStation 4 version seeing over 110k units being sold. The Switch version almost broke 100k with over 97k units sold.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate still reigned king however, selling over 450k units for the week to put its lifetime total at over 2 million units sold. Nintendo kept a tight grip on the top 3 with Super Mario Party selling over 155k units, and the Let’s Go Pokemon games selling 144k units combined. The Switch also saw the launch of Katamari Damacy Reroll open at 11k units.

Nintendo also held on to the top spot in the hardware charts with the Switch selling over 278k units for the week. The 3DS family of handheld systems sold almost 27k units. Sony had a good showing at 75k units and Microsoft sold a few Xbox Ones.

I started my love affair with gaming with Mario, as most kids do, and continued it with Dragon Warrior(Dragon Quest for those who don't know history).
