Jay and Silent Bob Mall Brawl releasing on the Switch

Interabang Entertainment announced the companion title for their upcoming title, Jay and Silent Bob Chronic Blunt Punch is releasing next Thursday, May 7th for the Nintendo Switch. A new trailer for the title was launched today, you can view it above.

In Jay and Silent Bob Mall Brawl, players will be able to play as Jay or Silent Bob in a retro 8-bit side-scrolling brawler, with a friend or by going solo. You will get to fight through Mallrats, delinquents, and security guards to get out of the mall and back to the Quickstop.

The title will be a companion and prequel to Jay and Silent Bobs Chronic Blunt Punch crowdfunding campaign and available for fans who want to pre-order the deluxe edition of Chronic Blunt Punch.

The two hetero life mates are hunted by chief rent-a-cop and his off duty officers. Players pummel enemies with hard-hitting combos, dash attacks, and elbow drops along with a random assortment of weapons as they battle their way out of the mall. The game features two-player co-op action with an 8-bit aesthetic and gameplay style similar to action brawlers on the Nintendo Entertainment Systems, particularly inspired by River City Ransom and Double Dragon II, with contemporary gameplay mechanics. Jay and Silent Bob Mall Brawl includes a rogues gallery of enemies from Kevin Smith’s View Askewniverse and a crisp original chiptune soundtrack.

Jay and Silent Bob Mall Brawl will be available through the Switch digital store for $14.99.

A Limited Run Jay and Silent Bob Mall Brawl physical collector’s Nintendo Entertainment System cartridge can be ordered here and will be playable on the original as well as other compatible retro Nintendo Entertainment Systems.
