Degrees of Separation Is Going Online Online Multiplayer Now Available in Cooperative Puzzle Platformer

Modus Games has announced that their indie hit Degrees of Separation would be expanding its current multiplayer modes to include online multiplayer functionality to all Switch players via a free update for all current owners. Players will be allowed to use their existing save files to play online with friends, and progress earned through online co-op play will be kept by each respective user.

Degrees of Separation is an atmospheric 2D puzzle platformer in which dual protagonists Ember and Rime must use their innate powers to individually manipulate heat and cold. Separated, yet drawn to one another by an enigmatic force, Ember and Rime embark on a spectacular journey, relying on their contrasting skills to shift and alter their surroundings.

Interacting with their environment, Ember and Rime can make water freeze and melt, cause snowballs to grow and shrink, force vents to expel air, and more. The two will learn to lean on each other, their unique talents carrying them through the many different stages of their adventure and relationship.

Degrees of Separation launched in February of 2019 for $19.99. You can check out the official website of the game at Did you play the game when it came out? Are you planning on giving it another shot? Feel free to let us know in the comments below.

I grew up on the Atari, Nintendo Entertainment System and the Sega Genesis. I started my love affair with gaming with Mario, as most kids do, and continued it with Dragon Warrior(Dragon Quest for those who don't know history). Some of my favorite games growing up were the simplest, with Adventure for the Atari 2600 being one of the games I had the most fun with. Still to this day I enjoy that game, and those duck looking dragons. Today I play a variety of games when my mind will let me, which comes in spurts. Right now I am playing a bit of Minecraft.
