Hideki Kamiya of Platinum Games has said they want to bring the Nintendo published Wii U title, The Wonderful 101, to the Switch. He made the comments at a recent Reboot Develop 2018 talk in Croatia. Kamiya asked the crowd how many people there had played the Wonderful 101 with the following statement.
“We’re going to knock the audience participation up a bit,” said Kamiya’s translator. “They’re still trying to negotiate with Nintendo whether a possible Wonderful 101 Switch release could happen but it always helps when the people in the audience at Reboot clap if they’d actually buy a Switch version of Wonderful 101. So anybody who would buy that, please clap…”
The Whole room clapped
He also spoke about Bayonetta 3, saying the game would represent a turning point for the company in how it will develop games, but would not share any further information on what that meant. He did state that Bayonetta 3 would “raise the bar,” while being a linear core progression action game and that they were also going to add new gimmicks and ways to play in order to do that.
We need to see this game on the Switch. This was a stellar title for the Wii U and would be for the Switch as well. I would be interested in how they handle the game without having the Wii U’s GamePad but I have faith in the guys t Platinum Games to figure that one out. Let us know in the comments below if you would buy this for the Switch.
