RUMOR: Assassin’s Creed Compilation POTENTIALLY Coming to Switch German Retailer MediaMarkt potentially leaked an Assassin's Creed Compilation for the Switch.

NOTE: I first found this Assasin’s Creed related story at SegmentNext via this link – https://segmentnext.com/2018/12/03/potential-assassins-creed-compilation-leaked-for-the-ps4-xbone-and-switch/ All credit for this story goes to them.

So, as you may recall, I previously reported on Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey coming to the Switch- albeit as a japan-only Cloud-streaming service. It’s great for Japan players as they get to experience the latest game in the franchise, but for American gamers like us, you’d have to get either a PS4 or an Xbox One to “do the (Assassin’s Creed) Odyssey.”

However, if this leak by German retailer MediaMarkt is to be believed and ends up real, then we COULD get a compilation of earlier Assassin’s Creed titles. (Think Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, Assassin’s Creed II, Assassin’s Creed, Assassin’s Creed III, etc.) If this is accurate, then it SHOULD release on March 29th, 2019. Also, a tentative price is 39.99 euros. (Roughly around 39.99-49.99 US Dollars). If so, that’d be a very good entry point.

Now, this wouldn’t be the first time an Assassin’s Creed game appeared on the Nintendo Switch. In fact, the Japan-Only Cloud version of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey for the Switch came out this October 5th alongside the other console and PC versions! But it would be the first time people in other territories not near or in Japan got to play an Assassin’s Creed game on a Home Console that’s also portable. (And NO, I’m not counting the Wii U since you could only go like 5-15 feet away from your TV before your Wii U Gamepad began having issues connecting to the TV it was connected to, folks!)

Frankly, I’m excited as all can get, because I’ll have a reason to actually get into the series (Other than Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, the DS games, and Odyssey – the last of which I know enough about thanks to dedicated fan-made wikias about this series and The Famicast.) In fact, I might be up to giving the Cloud version a good review, but for now, between work, life, communities with people w/disabilities, and 4 reviews I gotta seriously get back to working on, I’d rather focus on finishing the Moonlighter review, emailing a resulting letter to Digital Sun apologizing for the long delay, and playing and reviewing 3 other Switch games (Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu!, Warframe, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.)

However, all of this is mere rumor. Last I checked, this wasn’t on Amazon or GameStop’s website, which would help significantly in authenticating the leak as “legit.” Aside from this, even if by some miracle this ends up true, we STILL don’t know which games would end up on the hypothetical compilation.

Now, if only we could get a Call of Duty game or compilation of some sort from Activision on the console, Cloud-stream or otherwise. . .. That’d actually be fantastic.

Anyways, I’m looking very much forward towards finding out how credible this “leak” ends up being if its’ even real. Maybe we’ll find out all of that and maybe some surprise Nintendo announcements about either Metroid Prime 4 or Metroid Prime Trilogy at this year’s Game Awards 2018 this month? Hmmm. . .
